As representatives of the Strathclyde MBA program, we plan to raise the awareness and profile of the MBA program with professionals across IAHGames’ Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia offices by sharing with them the various methodologies and academic frameworks we have learnt in the MBA course that would be relevant to their scope of work.
Since our project encompasses the theme of ‘Think Regional, Act Local’ which spans across the in-depth exploration of at least 4 countries in S.E.A, the impact of it is a strategic macro-level one which takes into consideration the local needs of consumers and business environment, which further enhances the reputation and ‘big picture’ view of the Strathclyde MBA program.
- Strathclyde Unity in Cultural Diversity
Our culturally diverse team of ambassadors consists of four different nationalities from Singapore, Japan, Thailand and Nigeria. This further reflects to the outside world the stringent recruitment selection process of the Strathclyde MBA program which encompasses such international diversity. With each of our members bringing a diverse cultural and industry backgrounds to the table, we are able to provide different perspectives and introduce new methods of working to one another and to IAHGames. Representing the shared values of Strathclyde MBA program yet promoting diversity and inclusivity, professionalism and social responsibility in our dealings with the organization would be the impact we create.

- Raising the profile of Strathclyde MBA within the gaming industry
To date, research and academic papers written about best practices within the gaming industry are far and few. By being one of the pioneers to develop a blueprint of how to launch a full-scale regional game product launch within the Southeast Asia market using a holistic approach that considers the various aspects of the business, we strongly believe this would add significant value to both start-up firms who require a framework as well as to established firms in re-evaluating their existing methodologies.

Furthermore, with the Southeast Asia gaming market expanding rapidly with huge growth and revenue potential, international gaming firms are starting to look to S.E.A to launch the games they have developed. The blueprint will give them a deeper understanding of S.E.A markets in terms of consumer behaviours, operational issues, strategic alliances and potential pitfalls.
- Our commitment to the fulfilment of Uni. Strathclyde’s Mission
At the same time, bearing in mind University of Strathclyde’s mission statement of “combining excellence with social and economic relevance”, the research that we plan to undertake is an extensive and in-depth one that spans across the analysis of market analysis reports and data collected in the various S.E.A countries – this includes the primary and secondary research of the highest quality.
Striving to achieve the highest form of excellence in the design of our academic framework in our project, our focus will be on the practical application of the blueprint to maximize the gaming firm’s revenue and efficient usage of resources for economic relevance. Yet at the same time, we will explore the social factors that surround these economic factors such that we have a balanced and ethical approach to the ideologies surrounding the project.
Concurrently, we will be promoting knowledge exchange between ourselves and the professionals that we will be meeting in S.E.A to gain a common understanding of existing issues and to learn from the experts in the industry in order to further enhance the quality and value that our project would contribute to the reputation of the Strathclyde MBA program.
